Mr. Michael pointed out that in the four decades of China’s reform and opening, due to constantly exploration and promotion, China gradually formed a path that suited its national conditions, moved from a closed and semi-closed situation to an all-round opening up, and has made remarkable achievements. The development experience of China is worth learning for Kenya. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kenya and China in 1963, bilateral relations have been developing steadily, and China has helped Kenya in numerous projects.

Michael stressed that China is a huge market with a population of nearly 1.4 billion. The potential of agricultural trade cooperation between the two countries is enormous. Matching the supply and demand between the two sides and actively promoting Kenya’s agricultural exports to the Chinese markets are essential; China has advanced agricultural production and agricultural machinery technological development, which can effectively promote Kenya's domestic agriculture; Chinese government provides Kenya with more than 100 scholarship places to study in China every year, as well as many seminars such as Kenya's agricultural and animal husbandry development and management, hoping to make full use of the valuable opportunities offered by China to cultivate human resources for national development. Finally, Michael shared his experience in China and hoped that China and Kenya would further strengthen bilateral communication and cooperation in human resources development, enhance the cooperation, and write a new chapter in their friendship.

The participants unanimously agreed that this seminar on agriculture and animal husbandry is very meaningful and will cherish the opportunity to study in China, learn China's agricultural development experience and promote the two countries cooperation. All staff members of the Embassy in Republic of Kenya participated in the meeting.
